Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  • Design activities consist of the following:
    • Design studies for the initial concept stage of the car design program, including component and assembly idea generation and layout/packaging
    • It will be expected to have a knowledge of the F1 technical regulations.
    • Design project ownership and completion for a variety of composite related assemblies, including geometry and construction final definition.
  • Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Designer or their designee.

Description of Ideal Candidate

Education and Work Experience:

  • GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Further education including Mechanical Engineering degree. Knowledge about composite materials desired.
  • Internship or Formula Student in motorsport environments are good add on (especially in F1 composite groups).

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Have an excellent understanding of English language.
  • Strong technical background in racing car.
  • Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations.
  • Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
  • Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.
  • A sympathetic approach to work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
  • A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.
