Graduate Development Programme

Our Graduate Development Programme (GDP) is a structured learning environment providing graduates with the skills and experience they need to be a successful consultant. Over the two-year programme, you will receive market-leading training through our technical training academy as well as a range of soft-skills and on-the-job learning.

The GDP is blended with external qualifications and professional accreditation including SCSI , APM, CIOB and ICE to ensure you become an industry-leading professional. With everything logged on our online learning platform, a graduate development manager, central development team, line manager and buddy, you will have all the tools and support needed to excel and achieve your career goals.

The programme is designed to be:

  • A platform to enhance knowledge and gain first-hand experience
  • A training schedule to support and capture your learning and development needs and achievements
  • A learning tool document to track and report the development of your capabilities

Project Management

Project management reduces risk and helps clients deliver projects in a consistent and improved manner. Project managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of the various aspects of the project, working collaboratively with different disciplines. In your role, you will support the project management commissions, taking responsibility for effectively delivering a vast range of tasks to the highest quality standard. Some of the key responsibilities will be establishing effective processes and systems to be used throughout the project, producing project plans and preparing written project communication materials. Cost Management (Quantity Surveying)

Cost management is vital in delivering the best value to our clients and maximising their return on investment. You will support the commission manager by delivering a wide range of tasks to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include: estimating and producing cost plans, drafting the procurement documentation, checking and analysing tenders, conducting cost checks and valuations, analysing the numbers for the final accounts and liaising with the client, contractors and designers. If you have completed or are completing a degree in quantity surveying this is the programme for you.

Controls and Performance

Controls and performance is a vital part of modern project delivery. Working with big data, software and complex systems, the project team will look to you as the oracle of knowledge to support informed decision making. If you are interested in risk, project planning, cost control or implementing the latest project management software, then a career in controls and performance may be for you. Suitable for both the analytical mind and the social butterfly, you will excel as you build project delivery plans, interrogate million pound cost estimates and roll out the processes and tools necessary to track and control project performance.

Contract services

Our contract services ‘intelligent procurement’ approach provides a procurement pathway from business and programme level strategy to contract award, managing the procurement process, implementing consistent procedures and engaging the supply chain. The team develop contract & commercial solutions for our clients which help maximise value from the supply chain and mitigate contractual risk. Our procurement & contract experts provide support and guidance to our clients through each stage of the process in order to develop optimised procurement solutions that deliver efficiencies and cost savings against their business requirements.
