Work Visas in Germany
Not everyone would need to secure a work permit before going to Germany. If you wish to work in Germany and you are an EU or EEA Citizen, you do not need to secure a visa. However, if you are a third-country national, you will need to apply for a work visa prior to your entry and a residence permit upon your arrival. In the meantime, you may want to prepare the following documents for it will be required from you when you apply for a German Employment Visa:
- Two fully accomplished and signed German Employment Visa Application Form
- (2) Two pieces of identical photographs that are no older than three months and taken with consideration to the ICAO Standards
- Passport that contains at least two blank pages and is not more than 10 years old. Validity of the passport should be 6 months after the date of exit from Germany or Schengen territory
- Proof of residences such as driver’s license or utility bill named after you in the territory of the consulate where you will be applying
- Bring copies of your previous visa are available
- Bring all previous passports
- Marriage Certificate if applicable
- Employment Contract / Binding job offer with details of gross annual salary and detailed information of your employment in Germany
- Health Insurance confirmation from your provider assuring your coverage of at least EUR30,000 throughout the Schengen territory. Compulsory certificate from your German employer, valid from the date of employment. If not yet included in the health insurance, separate travel insurance to cover the time frame prior to employment form arrival date should be presented
- Approval by the Federal Employment Agency (If applicable)
- Curriculum Vitae
- Proof of qualification such as diplomas, mark sheets, or anything that will prove qualification
- Personal cover letter explaining the exact purpose and duration of stay
- Proof of clean criminal record
- Proof of payment for the visa application fee

- Collate all your documents and check for other relevant documents that will help prove your ability to sustain your visit to the country.

- Pay the application fee of EUR75.
- Prepare for interview and submission of documents on your scheduled date.
