Your CV allows you to introduce yourself in a comprehensive way. Make sure that you keep it within one to two pages only and fill it with straightforward details. There is not much restriction as to how your information should be presented in the document. It is recommended that you allow your employer to know you right away by including your basic and contact information on the first page, matching it with your most recent photo.

Heading

Curriculum Vitae or Meritförteckning. Headings are normally being used to label your document, although ‘CV’ may now be the most commonly used one.

Personal Information

This should contain your full name, contact details, email address. This doesn’t need a subheading, and should just be written on top of your document.

Professional Experience

For every professional experience, you should indicate the company name and sector, dates, duties, and awards received. You may enlist from oldest to newest or vice versa.

Educational Background

List your educational background from tertiary onwards.You must include the name of your university, the duration of your attendance in the school, and awards or recognition you received. You may also include the seminars and training you took under this portion. Avoid irrelevant information that may not be value-adding to your application.

Skills

Under this section, you may indicate the languages you speak, your technical skills, computer skills, and other related abilities that your interviewer may find helpful in the job you are applying for.

 

Just take note, keep your CV brief and relevant to the job you are applying for. Keep it neat and have it printed on high-quality paper. If you have taken education from other countries, it will be a great help to mention it. Give emphasis on the qualities they may require of you and write in the third person in singular form. Lastly, do attach a cover letter!
