At our office in Copenhagen, we are always looking for talented and self-motivated students of constructing architecture (bygningskonstruktør), who are eager to learn and develop their skills. As an Intern at BIG you will experience a dynamic and inspiring environment in an international creative community. You will work among and learn from some of the best Architects in the world and participate in BIG School, social events and much more.
As a Constructing Architect Intern you will get to:
- Be involved in one of our international or Danish projects
- Help solve building interfaces based on architect’s sketches and contribute to project principles and building technology together with a team of dedicated and experienced colleagues
- Focus and learn structure and modeling principles in the BIM models, learn office standards, participation in meetings with external consultants etc.
- Develop and expand your knowledge and skills on complex BIM projects
- Assist in BIM efforts on multiple projects
- Participate in BIG Schools where you can interact and learn from our studios’ experts in a variety of skills and fields from different programs to topics like sustainability, project development, build regulations
- Be part of the BIG experience
- Participate in construction site visits

Description of Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate:
- Has at least 2 years of architecture school behind you,
- Have knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Have a flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working
- Be able to work under pressure together with the team
- Are openminded to new materials and ways of developing details and solutions
- See complex architecture as a way of developing skills within detailing and constructability
- Have a knowledge and interest in the technical aspects of a building
- Be able to take initiative in response to direction or instruction
- Have great interpersonal communication skills
- Be fluent in English
- Be a current student on the Bygningskonstruktør education (Architectural Technology & Construction Management).
