Details

Cargill provides food, agriculture, financial and industrial products and services to the world. Together with farmers, customers, governments and communities, we help people thrive by applying our insights and over 150 years of experience. We have 150,000 employees in 70 countries who are committed to feeding the world in a responsible way, reducing environmental impact and improving the communities where we live and work.

You will learn about Cargill and the career opportunities available in your career area and further develop your talents. Because you’re faced with challenging projects and the chance to interact with a variety of Cargill employees and business partners, this is a valuable, real-world work experience.

Internships are typically 12 weeks in duration. Co-ops usually last an entire semester.

Both programs offer you the opportunity to learn from industry professionals, gain valuable experience and contribute fresh ideas to your team. Show you have Cargill potential and we’ll line you up for full-time employment.

We actively recruit exceptional talent at colleges and universities across the United States. We are looking for innovative students to participate in our co-op and internship programs and fill entry-level positions.

Description of Ideal Candidate

What to Expect. Everything you need to know about the application process.

  • Time it takes to apply online. Applying online takes 5 to 15 minutes. You’ll be asked a few questions for us to better understand your qualifications.
  • Information to include. Don’t forget to upload your resume. Include your college grade point average (GPA), past employment experiences and contact information — especially an email address.
  • After you submit your application. If you meet the minimum requirements for the position, your application is sent to a recruiter for review.
  • When Cargill will contact you? After applying for a position, you will immediately receive an automatic email confirming we have your application. If the recruiter decides you are a strong job candidate, you will be contacted for additional information or to schedule an interview.

Tips to a more successful application

  • Apply for all positions you are interested in and for which you are qualified. If you create a profile and do not apply for a particular position, your resume will appear only if a recruiter conducts a general search, and you meet the minimum requirements.
  • Update your resume with relevant information to the position for which you’ve applied.
  • Include your GPA.
  • Contact information is a must. Include a current email address and phone number.
  • Check spelling and grammar. Proofread your application. Ask a friend to review your resume for mistakes.
  • Be specific. We want to know the length of each internship, volunteer and work experience, what skills you developed and how you applied your knowledge.
