The Intern will report to Mercado Global’s Graphic Designer and Site Manager. The internship will be focused on supporting the organization's transition to the new Google Analytics 4 (GA4) platform and setting-up best practices for the account on Google Ads Grants. The intern will support tracking the analytics and promoting conversions for ecommerce, fundraising, corporate networking, and boutique wholesale. The Intern will also assist in other marketing initiatives such as creating newsletters, website support, and social media campaigns. Through your work at Mercado Global, you will be exposed to brands like Levi's and Reformation, and retailers like Nordstrom and Holt Renfrew, amongst others. Your work will expand our current portfolio, including among our boutique partners.
This position involves collaborative work with our experienced marketing and design team, our Guatemala and U.S.-based staff, and the talented women artisans we serve in Guatemala.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Google Analytics best practices
- Create KPI reports on Google Analytics
- Implement Google Ads Grant best practices
- Create Search Ads to promote e-commerce and wholesale sales
- Create Search Ads to promote fundraising initiatives
- Create Search Ads to promote subscriptions to our newsletters
- Update website with new graphics, products, and other content

- Studying or graduated with a degree in Marketing or similar is required
- Experience working with Google Ads and Google Analytics

- Self-driven and proactive
