Overview

As part of the Financial Solutions EMEA team, you will be working closely with the team to support in financial analysis, due diligence, underwriting and financial modelling.

You will be involved in different stages of the transaction, from business origination to execution.

Your responsibilities include monitoring the portfolio performance of Life &Health insurance companies in different markets in the region, performing benchmark analysis, and assisting the team in identifying potential transaction opportunities. You will also be developing pitch decks and performing various analyses, such as credit analysis on our clients and data analysis on clients & portfolios, to help the team better price and structure transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare pitch decks and analysis for local underwriters and client meetings,
  • Conduct credit analysis and solvency analysis on our target clients,
  • Participate in the structuring and pricing of Financial Solutions within SCOR’s risk appetite,
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders (risk, pricing, finance, legal) to sign deals.
  • Monitor the portfolio performance of existing treaties
  • Develop actuarial models,
  • Follow change in regulation (Solvency 2, IFRS 17).

Qualifications

Required experience & competencies

  • Fluent English is required (writing and speaking), advanced French is preferred (speaking),
  • The candidate should be at ease using Microsoft package, in particular Excel (including but not limited to formulas such as xlookup, sumifs, index, match, etc.). Knowledge of VBA will be a plus,
  • Proficiency and experience in data analytics tool such as Power BI and Tableau will be a plus
  • The candidate should preferably have some knowledge of insurance regulation (e.g., Solvency II) and/or accounting standards (IFRS) and/or capital/risk management,
  • Knowledge of actuarial science is preferred but not required,
  • The candidate should be self-motivated, self-starter, quick learner, have the ability to work as part of a team, have good communication skills.

Required Education

  • Master 2 with a specialization in Actuary, Insurance, Consulting, or Finance
