Early Career Programme (ECP)

The Forum engages a team of close to 800 people across six global locations, dedicated to our mission of improving the state of the world. We value a highly spirited, diverse, and driven workforce, attracting people of more than 80 nationalities from all walks of life.

This programme is an exciting opportunity for participants to get a feel for working at the Forum, bringing in fresh ideas from their studies and gaining valuable real-world experience while making an impact.

The positions we offer are best suited to recent graduates of a course of study, preferably at master’s level or higher (although not exclusively), and with at least one previous professional experience.

Purpose of the Team

The ECP for Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chain will play a pivotal role in supporting the operations and communications of both centres in China, focusing on driving forward various initiatives including Industry Net Zero Accelerator, Global Lighthouse Network, Manufacturing Talent of the Future and AI Governance Alliance. This role involves conducting research, engaging with key stakeholder, providing project coordination, documentation, and logistical support for the various initiatives aimed at fostering the responsible adoption of exponential technologies across industries.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

Research

  • Conduct baseline engagement mapping to gain insight into local community dynamics and the effectiveness of ongoing Global Lighthouse Network initiatives within China.
  • Analyze and report on the factors that drive Chinese companies to participate in Global Lighthouse Network activities and explore strategies for enhancing value delivery.
  • Conduct in-depth research to identify trends and opportunities in AI-driven industrial transformation in China
  • Analyze Chinese industrial companies’ AI priorities and assess potential new outputs of the AI Governance Alliance initiative (China deep dive) to deepen their engagement with the Forum
  • Support on collecting local insights (net zero use cases) from Chinese companies for our global net zero “no excuse” frameworks
  • Other initiative/Global Future Council related research tasks

Documentation and reporting:

  • Maintain meticulous records of project progress, research findings, and stakeholder interactions.
  • Support developing periodical reports/summary that articulate the impact and progress of ongoing initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Content curation

  • Support the curation of compelling narratives and content that represent the Centres’ work and impact to stakeholders and partners. Support production of high-quality insight products that resonate with the interests and benefits of the audience, enhancing the Centre's value proposition.

Project management and coordination:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within both Centres. Ensure alignment of goals, efficient resource management, and adherence to timelines. Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth project execution.

Event support:

  • Coordinate and support a variety of events, from centre-wide event, public-private dialogues to how-to workshops, ensuring smooth and effective operation. Manage logistics, liaise with vendors, and provide on-site support to ensure events run smoothly and effectively.

Community management

  • Support the development and operations of the community strategy and work plan of AI Governance Alliance. Support and facilitate the engagement of the community with stakeholders including private sectors, public administrations, academia, civil societies, think tanks etc.

  • Prefers majors and/or work experience in technology, digital, manufacturing or industrial fields.
  • Demonstrated interest in AI, advanced manufacturing, and supply chains.
