Overview

Do you want to be part of an international and innovative team and help bring to market a must-have open source software product to connected devices/the Internet of Things? We are an experienced and successful team with offices in Oslo, Norway and California, USA who have set out on a mission to “Secure the World’s Connected Devices.” Our two award winning products are the established CFEngine and the newly released Mender. This role is ideal for some with little or no experience who wants to break into the business side of the enterprise software industry with a focus on a growing market sector, the Internet of Things.

Details

To strengthen our sales efforts for Mender, we are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented intern with strong written and verbal skills. Our sales intern will work closely with the sales team to ensure a strong pipeline for acquisition of new customers. This person would spend time data mining to target the right people and help with messaging and discovery calls.

Main responsibilities

  • Data mine through LinkedIn and similar platforms to locate key individuals within Mender.io’s Ideal Customer Profile
  • Build and experiment with email templates to discern which are most effective to the various roles and market segments Mender.io is targeting
  • Be a positive force to the team

  • Driven, ambitious, and goal-oriented
  • Strong communication skills– both written and verbal
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities and/or projects
  • Driven and resourceful in finding new approaches to ensure their message is resonating with potential customers
    • Ability to problem-solving, identifying process efficiencies and improvements
    • Familiarity or ability to quickly learn marketing/sales systems and tools
  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer service, lead generation or other sales role
