How We Work:
Threat Labs, Gen is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Threat Analysis Engineer for an internship position in our team. The intern will work alongside experienced threat analysts and researchers to identify, analyze and detect emerging threats and attack vectors.
This full-time internship runs from 1st July to 30th September and is primarily on-site at our offices in Prague or Brno.
Objectives (What You Will Do in This Role):
- Collaborate with Senior Threat Analysts to build expertise in malware analysis, threat intelligence, and incident response.

Conduct in-depth static and behavioral analysis of malware to uncover functionality, attack vectors, and indicators of compromise (IoCs).

Identify techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors to support threat detection and defense strategies.

Learn how to create detection patterns and track emerging threats to help improve our protection mechanisms.

Assist in the development of scripts, tools, and automation workflows to streamline malware analysis and threat response.

Competencies (What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role):

Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Strong analytical skills and a sharp eye for detail.

Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, threat intelligence, and malware analysis is a plus.

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is an advantage.

Understanding of common cyberattack techniques is a bonus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
